Association For Craft Producers
Association for Craft Producers (ACP) is a not-for-profit Fair Trade organization that provides a great variety of services to low-income craft producers (primarily women). These services include design training, technical training, management training, and marketing services. These services result in regular and adequate wages to supplement workers’ family income and improve their overall standard of living.
ACP provides income generating opportunities to more than 1,000 handicraft producers (90% women) from 12 districts of Nepal in 17 skill categories and employs 60 full-time staff. ACP deals with various product categories with a focus on household cotton textiles, knitwear, felt, ceramics, copper, glass, silver jewelry, paper, leather, bamboo, and woodworks. All these products are available to both the domestic and export markets. ACP caters to the local customers through its retail shop ‘Dhukuti’ while exporting is handled through its sister organization ‘Nepali Craft Trading P. Ltd’. ACP is also a member of World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) – regional & global. ACP is an accredited and guaranteed Fair Trade Organization by WFTO global.
