Nepal Leprosy Trust (NLT) is a non-governmental organization working to improve the lifestyle of people affected by leprosy, as well as other differently-able, poor and marginalized people. It provides socio-economic benefits, and medical and social support through employment opportunities, capacity building and financial assistance. NLT has about 100 producers (65% women) who either work in NLT workshops and/or are homebased. NLT produces high quality leather and fabric bags, purses, wallets, iPad bags etc., varieties of felt products, Nepali batik wall hangings and batik cards for all seasons. The organization currently has 12 staff (half of them are women).
