Discussion Program on Living Wage
Discussion Program on Living Wage was organized by Fair Trade Group Nepal on 19th May 2022. The program was organized with the objective to share and discuss on the concept of Living wage (one of the compliance criteria under Fair Trade Principle – 4 Fair Trade Payment) as defined by WFTO and the experience/ challenges of FTGN members in calculating it.
The discussion covered – introduction on concept of Living wage as defined by WFTO by the facilitators, followed by sharing of experience/ challenges of WFTO/ FTGN members in calculating Living wage. The discussion was facilitated by Ms. Revita Shrestha, Secretary, FTGN and Mr. Satyendra Khadgi, Treasurer, FTGN. 20 participants from the Member Organizations and FTGN secretariat participated in the discussion program.
