On July 24, 2024, His Excellency Cameron MacKay, the Ambassador of Canada to Nepal, visited one of our project sites in Bungamati. The woodcarvers were especially excited to showcase their craftsmanship to His Excellency and to have the opportunity to take photos with him.
As part of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) 2024, Fair Trade Group Nepal is implementing a project aimed at promoting inclusive economic development in Kathmandu. The initiative focuses on empowering marginalized communities, particularly women, by supporting sustainable livelihoods in the agro-food and craft sectors.
